About FarmYard Faith
Farmyard Faith is written by Kinsey M. Rockett. She shares the journey of her childhood on her family’s new farm. Each chapter has a news story about an event or adventure she had experienced growing up and wrapping up her story she shares how it was applicable to God’s word. Stories about coming home with new beehives crashing around their van, chasing ducks around with her brother to birthing baby goats. Farmyard Faith is a softcover book with 26 chapters, and 194 pages, praising and glorifying God through each word. I am impressed with how much she truly let God be the center of this incredibly funny and heart-touching book.
How We Used It
We read a chapter 3-5 times a week and our kids LOVED it. Yes, we’re in the city, but raising chickens and having a garden our children are exposed to a little of this life we crave. At the end of each chapter, she has a little story of how the story with the application is given throughout God’s word and verses. I love this because it shows how God’s word is living and how our kids and myself can apply it to our lives and through each adventure. Farmyard Faith had us laughing and desiring to get into God’s word more, thankful to know Him and to see how He works in our lives.
